Meet Tim, "Your Country Butcher"

Tim Durksen opened the Dugald Location of Timothy’s Country Butcher Shop in 2016 to the delight of Springfield residents. An opportunity to apprentice with the soon to retire owner of The Butcher Shop at Dugald, Norm Howat, led to Tim taking over the business, bringing a new vision and name to the shop. 

Tim is a “local”, having moved from the Wolseley neighborhood in Winnipeg to Dugald where he and his wife raise their three children. It’s that connection to area residents that Tim enjoys and sees as the foundation of his business. 

“Community is important to me!” That’s why Timothy’s Country Butcher supports Manitoba produced products. Our meats and seafood are locally raised to ensure quality, freshness and reduces the impact on our local environment. 

Nothing puts a smile on Tim’s face more that seeing a satisfied returning customer. “I choose my sources because of the quality of the sources more than price” pretty much sums up what you can expect at Timothys Country Butcher Shop.
